The front cover or Youngster Parade with Illustrations by Eloise Brandt
This album was created for House of Mercy Recordings It is their first children’s album.

I started with illustrations created by Eloise Brandt. I then took those illustrations and turned them into vector art for use in the album’s design. The albums format was required to follow the format of previous releases and due to a tight budget only one color could be used. Within those confines I had complete freedom to do as I wished.

There is a large number of artists recorded on this album and one of the toughest problems was including all of their information and still have the design be fun and legible. In order to do this I turned the text on the inner flaps sideways. This left the raged edge of the text flirting with the arch cut for easy access to the CD. As an added benefit I really enjoyed the way the album became more book like with this change in the design.

The album was beautifully letterpress printed by Studio On Fire in North East Minneapolis.

The CD was printed by Noiseland Industries also in North East Minneapolis.
